Heb je een grotere kans om erg ziek te worden door griep? Dan krijg je in het najaar een uitnodiging van je huisarts voor een gratis griepprik. Die maakt de kans kleiner dat je griep krijgt.
Wanneer kun je de griepprik halen?
Haal de griepprik op de datum die staat in de uitnodiging van je huisarts. Of zo snel mogelijk daarna. De griepprik werkt namelijk pas na 2 weken.
Ben je zwanger? Vanaf 22 weken kun je een griepprik halen
Vanaf 22 weken zwangerschap kun je een griepprik halen. Je baby en jij hebben dan een kleinere kans om erg ziek te worden door griep.
Krijg je elk jaar een griepprik bij je huisarts? Dan krijg je de prik nu ook bij je huisarts. Je krijgt hiervoor een uitnodiging.
Krijg je normaal geen griepprik? Dan krijg je de prik bij het consultatie-bureau. Je maakt dan zelf een afspraak. Kijk voor de gegevens op de site van het Nederlands Centrum Jeugdgezondheid.

The flu shot reduces your risk of becoming seriously ill.
Are you more likely to become seriously ill from the flu? Then in the autumn you will receive an invitation from your GP for a free flu shot. It reduces your chance of getting the flu.
When can you get the flu shot?
Get the flu shot on the date stated in your GP’s invitation, or as soon as possible afterwards. The flu shot only starts to work after 2 weeks.
Are you pregnant? You can get a flu shot from 22 weeks
From 22 weeks of pregnancy you can get a flu shot. This reduces the chance that you and your baby become seriously ill from the flu.
Do you get a flu shot from your GP every year? Then you will get the shot from your GP this time too. You will receive an invitation for this.
Do you not normally get a flu shot? Then you will get the shot at the child health clinic (consultatiebureau). In that case, you make an appointment yourself. For details, see the website of the Netherlands Centre for Youth Health (Nederlands Centrum Jeugdgezondheid).
