Welcome to Feanstate General Practice

We are a new general practice in Heerenveen.

We started on 1 January 2024 because many people in Heerenveen did not have a GP. Together with other GPs in Heerenveen, it was decided to build this practice.

We work in collaboration with Dokterszorg Friesland. In this way, we help ensure that high-quality primary care remains available in the future.

Collaboration

Since April 1, 2026, Feanstate and Huisartsenpraktijk Nijehaske have begun working closely together. Feanstate also continues to use Huisarts in Beeld.

These are regular GPs who support us via video consultations. They have extensive experience in general practices and urgent care services. They assist our in-practice GPs so that you can be helped quickly and effectively.

Close to home, digital when possible, in person when needed.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT & NURSE PRACTITIONER

Physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) are BIG-registered healthcare providers who can examine and treat you independently and, if necessary, prescribe medication. They work closely with the general practitioner.

PRACTICE NURSES – SOMATIC CARE & ELDERLY CARE

Practice Nurses – Somatic Care and Elderly Care (POH-S and POH-O) support patients with chronic conditions and elderly care needs. They guide, monitor, and advise you, and work closely with the general practitioner.
